CITROEN DS3 RACE ENDS IN DISASTER AFTER DOWNPOUR

After a serious downpour at the Citroen DS3 cup in Denmark, a disastrous spin out leaves 11 cars piled up.

A serious crash in motorsport is never a good sight and it is what professional racecar drivers fear the most. But when it could have been prevented leaves the entire team devastated.

In motorsport, the choice of tyre compound is probably one of the most vital elements to get decent track time, it has a lot to do with safety as well.

During the Citroen DS3 Cup race in Denmark, an unexpected downpour accrued, however, it seems like most race teams took the fateful plunge to just simply continuing the race without a tyre change. Racing purely on slick tyres when the track is even slightly wet, nevermind a full-on downpour, will almost result in pure disaster! Which is exactly what happened here in the Citroen DS3 Cup race recently. Over 11 cars were involved in the violent spin out.
