The announcement that Bridgestone was developing an "airless" or non-pneumatic tyre for the passenger vehicle market sparked the interest of many drivers. Although this prototype is still being developed, the future looks bright for this revolutionary tyre. 

With a unique structure of spokes along the inner side of the tyre supporting the weight of the vehicle, there is no need to refill the tyre with air, meaning the tyre needs less maintenance. At the same time, the worry of punctures are eliminated, the spoke structure is made from thermoplastic resin and along with a rubber in the tread portion, the materials used in the tires are recyclable, contributing to the efficient use of resources.
