TEAM SOUTH AFRICA SNATCHES A 2ND OVERALL IN THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL GS TROPHY

The rugged landscapes of Namibia set the stage for an unforgettable BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy 2024, where riders from around the world tested their mettle in one of the most gruelling off-road competitions. After days of intense challenges, Team Germany emerged victorious in the men’s category, demonstrating unmatched skill and determination. Following closely behind, Team South Africa secured second place with a strong performance, while Team Brazil’s relentless drive earned them a well-deserved third on the podium. The female category saw the International Team rise to victory, with an impressive display of teamwork and resilience. Team Japan put in a commendable effort to claim second place, and Team France rounded off the top three, showing their tenacity throughout the event. This year's GS Trophy not only crowned new champions but also highlighted the remarkable camaraderie and resilience shared by all participants. Each rider endured the fierce terrain, extreme weather conditions, and technical riding challenges, but it was their unity and shared passion for adventure that made this event truly extraordinary. As the riders reflected on their journey, it became clear that the experience was about much more than the scores and rankings. From the deserts to the mountains, they forged friendships, discovered inner strength, and created memories that would last a lifetime. The final standings only told part of the story; the real victory lay in the spirit of adventure and camaraderie that had carried them through. In the men’s category, Team Germany took the lead with 283 points, followed by South Africa with 223 points and Brazil at 177 points. The International Team claimed the top spot in the female category with 278 points, closely pursued by Japan at 273 and France at 267 points.
