THANKS TO CVH AUTO GROUP, YOU CAN NOW BUY A BRAND NEW RHD 'VETTE STINGRAY - PREPARE TO COUGH UP THOUGH...

The wait is over! The Corvette Stingray - America’s most celebrated sports car - has finally arrived in South Africa, officially in factory-built right-hand drive for the very first time. Available exclusively through CVH Auto Group, this is the chance for local performance enthusiasts to own a slice of true motoring legend. This is no conversion, no compromise - it’s the real deal, engineered from the ground up for right-hand drive markets and fully homologated for South African roads. The latest-generation Stingray rewrites Corvette tradition with its revolutionary mid-engine layout, delivering supercar dynamics while staying true to its muscle car roots. Under the rear deck, a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 delivers 369 kW and 637 Nm, launching the Stingray from 0–100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Power runs through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox for lightning-fast shifts, while the standard Z51 Performance Package sharpens handling and braking to track-ready levels. The aggressive lines aren’t just for show; the Stingray’s aerodynamic profile channels decades of motorsport know-how into a shape that slices through the air while turning heads in every rear-view mirror. Both coupé and convertible body styles are available. For those who want the ultimate track weapon, the Corvette Z06 takes performance into another stratosphere. Powered by the 5.5-litre LT6 V8 - the most advanced naturally aspirated V8 ever built in America - it revs to a spine-tingling 8,600 rpm and produces 493 kW. Pair it with the Z07 Performance Package, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres, and aggressive carbon-fibre aero, and you get Nürburgring lap times of 7:12.88 - quicker than a Ferrari 488 GTB and Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.2).

The Corvette story began in 1953, when Chevrolet unveiled a low, sleek two-seater at the GM Motorama in New York. Originally fitted with a modest straight-six engine, it wasn’t until 1955 that a small-block V8 transformed the Corvette into a true performance icon.

Over the decades, the Corvette evolved through multiple generations:

C2 Sting Ray (1963–1967) introduced the split-window coupé and cemented its status as a design icon.

C3 (1968–1982) brought the long-nose, wide-hipped look that defined the ’70s American sports car.

C4 and C5 modernised the platform with advanced aerodynamics and handling.

C6 and C7 brought world-class performance to rival Europe’s finest.

C8 (2020–) shattered tradition with a mid-engine layout - delivering supercar poise with muscle car soul.

From its earliest days as America’s sports car to its latest evolution as a mid-engine world-beater, the Corvette has always been about accessible, uncompromising performance, and now, South African enthusiasts finally get the real deal in RHD. All models come with a service plan, factory warranty, and are backed by CVH Auto Group’s official aftersales support. Finance and insurance options are available, trade-ins are welcome, and showroom viewings are now open in Bryanston. The Corvette Stingray can be yours from R3,700,000, and if you want the big daddy, the Corvette Z06 is a POA affair.

The legend has landed. The keys are waiting.
