LAMBORGHINI ESPERIENZA GIRO USA: A V12-SYMPHONY THROUGH NEW ENGLAND
Esperienza Giro (Italian for “Experience Tour”) is a global, invitation‑only driving program created by Lamborghini for its owners. These events blend scenic, multi‑day road trips with luxury hospitality, fine dining, local culture, art, and brand storytelling. Participants follow curated routes in convoys of Lamborghinis, often touring iconic landscapes while enjoying immersive lifestyle experiences. Primarily designed to offer an emotional, sensory alignment with the brand motivation, performance, design, heritage, and adventure. The program began years ago, with early versions in core markets such as China of all places, but there are loads of bazillionaires there and Chinese bazillionaires like cars too. The events are hosted in different cities around the world and they take Lamborghini owners to some of the most scenic spots on the best driving roads that the hist country has to offer. The China Giro 2022 was themed “Journey of Reawakening”, and it spanned an unprecedented 1,100 km from Yangshuo to Chongzuo, making it the longest Giro to date with around 40 Lamborghinis in attendance. Sicily Giro 2023 was also one for the books, it was particularly interesting because it was an Italian home‑edition event that coincided with the massive celebrations of Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary - the trip took a fleet of Lamborghinis across coastal roads, ancient temples, and to some of the best Roman and Greek heritage sites. There have been loads of these events hosted around the world, and they obviously took place in markets where Lamborghini sales have been healthy. We’re not sure if one of these events will ever make it to local shores, but if they did it would probably be Lamborghini Esperienza Giro Cape Town.
This year’s U.S. edition was also a well-attended event that took place over five days, a roaring pack of more than 30 Lamborghinis carved a path from the mountainous beauty of Lake Placid (yeah, that lake with the killer croc) in New York to the rugged coastline of Kennebunkport, Maine. What unfolded was an unforgettable New England summer escape - a heady mix of performance, pageantry, and signature Italian hospitality. Taking the wheel of their own Lamborghinis, guests were immersed in a rally that went far beyond the drive. From Vermont’s postcard-perfect valleys to coastal sunrise sails, every detail was curated to reflect the soul of the brand. The lineup of machinery was a dream garage in motion. The new Revuelto, Lamborghini’s first V12 plug-in hybrid super sports car, led the charge. The full-blooded Huracán family was out in force too: Sterrato, STO, Tecnica, and Performante variants all took their place in the convoy. From the Aventador S Roadster to the SV and LP700-4 Roadster, the legacy of the naturally aspirated V12 was also represented. But perhaps the star of the show was the ultra-rare Countach LPI 800-4 - a limited-edition homage to the icon that started it all 50 years ago.
Day one launched through the Adirondack wilderness into Vermont’s Mad River Valley, ending at the historic Woodstock Inn, founded by the Rockefellers. Day two offered flowing drives through Vermont paired with a flyfishing interlude and a fine dining experience at the iconic Simon Pearce restaurant. Then came New Hampshire’s “Live Free or Die” highlands - pure driving nirvana through the White Mountains. For the ending, the group pulled into Kennebunkport, Maine, where the revs gave way to a classic New England clambake. And just before heading home, guests boarded a sailboat for a sunrise cruise along the rugged Maine coastline - one last, serene moment after a week of madness.
Joining the convoy for the full journey was Andrea Baldi, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini Americas. “We are delighted to bring our passionate community of customers together again for a unique driving experience in our top market globally, the United States,” said Baldi. “We really enjoy sharing curated moments along these iconic routes with our valued guests, always proving to be unexpected and authentic.”
