TRACK WEAPON WITH A CONCIERGE CREW: BUGATTI'S BOLLIDE IS MADE FOR THE TRACK, BUT YOU CAN'T HEAD OUT ALONE.
The Bugatti Bollide is many things - brutal, beautiful, and built with one purpose: domination on the racetrack. It’s not just another ultra-exclusive hypercar; it’s a distilled, track-focused monster born from the DNA of the Chiron, engineered to stretch the limits of what’s possible with four wheels and a W16. And now, Bugatti is taking things even further - not by making the Bollide more extreme (hard to imagine), but by ensuring that its owners have the same level of elite, motorsport-grade support that the car itself demands. Because when your machine is pushing 1,177 kW from an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 and weighs just 1,450 kg, you’re not just going for a spirited Sunday lap, you’re entering a different league entirely. This is where Bugatti steps in with a global network of Certified Bolide Centres, a program that not only maintains these limited-edition weapons but helps owners maximise their experience on the world’s greatest circuits, whether for personal thrills or competitive motorsport.
Before we talk service, it’s worth pausing to appreciate just what Bugatti has created in the Bollide. First shown as a concept in 2020 and now a limited-run production reality, the Bollide is Bugatti’s most extreme car to date. With a power-to-weight ratio of 0.9 kg/PS, it’s a radical rethink of what the W16 engine can do when freed from road-legal constraints. There’s aerodynamics so aggressive they border on science fiction, an X-shaped tail-light cluster, a roof-mounted air scoop that morphs with airflow, and suspension geometry fine-tuned for track-only use. Downforce? You’re looking at 1,800 kg at 320 km/h. Brakes? Carbon-carbon, like you’d find on a Le Mans prototype. It’s a car that eats apexes for breakfast and spits out lap records. But to unleash its full potential, even the most enthusiastic owners need more than a helmet and courage - they need expertise. And that’s where Bugatti’s new initiative makes all the difference.
Owning a Bollide doesn’t mean calling up a regular dealership for an oil change. It means entering a different ecosystem - one where every technician is not just trained but certified through a rigorous, motorsport-grade process. Each Certified Bolide Centre must meet Bugatti’s highest standards, from pre-delivery inspection and personal vehicle handovers to private storage solutions and race-day prep. Think of it less like buying a car, and more like signing on with your own private F1 team. Now, Bugatti is expanding that service even further. A brand-new four-day intensive training program gives technicians the ability to provide trackside support, including garage prep, full vehicle assessments, logistics planning, and race-day management. The program takes place both at Bugatti’s spiritual home in Molsheim, France, and on-site at the Circuit de Mirecourt, where theory is put into action. Here, candidates are put through their paces - from vehicle loading and transporter protocols to high-performance system diagnostics and dynamic performance tuning. The culmination? A final live simulation test with none other than Bruno Spengler, Bugatti’s Pilote Officiel and a DTM champion, to validate their skillset before a customer’s Bollide ever sees a green flag.
Whether an owner is planning a private track day or looking to dip a toe into the world of competitive motorsport, these Certified Bolide technicians are trained to deliver a seamless experience. That starts with a full dynamic handover - not just handing over the keys, but walking the owner through every control, setting, and nuance of the Bollide’s operation. From there, the team handles trackside setup, telemetry support, logistics, and even race strategy consultation, depending on the level of involvement required. Owners participating in sanctioned motorsport events benefit from the highest tier of support, with certified technicians overseeing every aspect of the operation - from tyre strategy to suspension tuning. And since each Bolide is capable of delivering punishing lap times and downforce loads that would challenge any pro racer, having factory-trained staff on hand is more than a luxury; it’s a necessity.
Alexis Ploix, Director of After Sales & Customer Service at Bugatti Automobiles, puts it best:
“The Bolide is the purest expression of extreme, track-focused Bugatti performance.
