AMG SAYS GOODBYE IN STYLE: THE CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ FINAL EDITION HAS ARRIVED

As the sun begins to set on the fire-breathing A45-era compact performance lineup, Mercedes-AMG is sending off the mighty CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ four-door coupé and Shooting Brake with a thunderous farewell - the Final Edition. This limited-run model wraps up over a decade of compact AMG madness with more aggression, more exclusivity, and more drama than ever before. Orders are open now, but blink and you’ll miss it - availability ends in late 2025. Packing the world’s most powerful production four-cylinder turbo engine, the CLA 45 S Final Edition retains its headline-grabbing performance: 310 kW, 500 Nm, and a 0-100 km/h blast in just 4.1 seconds. Top speed is healthy at 270 km/h, electronically limited, of course. The heart of this beast is AMG’s legendary 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, hand-built in Affalterbach under the iconic one man, one engine philosophy. Power is sent through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT-8G dual-clutch transmission, lightning-fast and razor-sharp. The fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system includes AMG TORQUE CONTROL, meaning this pocket rocket can switch from maximum traction to tail-out drift mode at the flick of a switch. Proper hooligan tech - engineered, of course. The Final Edition is all about going out with presence - and it delivers in spades. You get a choice between MANUFAKTUR mountain grey magno and night black uni, both accented with bold ‘45 S’ graphics on the doors (in black or yellow) and yellow AMG logos on the mirror caps. It rides on matte black 19-inch AMG forged cross-spoke wheels, each finished with a yellow rim flange and yellow AMG-branded centre caps with laurel detailing. Black brake calipers with white AMG logos hide behind those wheels, tying in perfectly with the AMG Night Package treatment, which brings gloss black detailing to the mirrors, trim, and tailpipe surrounds. Want more stealth and menace? The optional Night Package II ups the ante with black chrome accents on the grille and badges.

And for those who want sharper aero to match the sharper looks, there’s the optional AMG Aerodynamics Package. Developed in the wind tunnel and designed to actually work at high speed, it includes:

A beefier front splitter and extra flics in high-gloss black

A larger rear spoiler (or roof spoiler for the Shooting Brake)

Blacked-out air outlet details on the rear apron

An aggressive black blade-style diffuser

Step inside and it’s all AMG, all attitude. The Performance seats are wrapped in ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfibre, stitched together with eye-popping yellow contrast topstitching. You’ll find the same yellow detailing across the door cards, dash, and centre console, where a “45 S Final Edition” badge reminds you this is no ordinary CLA. The AMG Performance steering wheel pairs Nappa leather with MICROCUT microfibre, finished off with aluminium trim, the AMG pattern, and more yellow logos. Illuminated AMG door sills beam the logo in - you guessed it - yellow, while custom floor mats with yellow stitching and “45 S” branding round things off. Even the headrests wear custom embroidery, and it’s all executed with the precision you’d expect from Affalterbach’s finest. The CLA 45 S Final Edition marks the last chapter for AMG’s current-gen compact performance heroes - and it’s doing it loud, proud, and in full throttle. This is a tribute to the car that showed the world what a four-cylinder could really do when AMG gets involved. Available for a limited time only, the Final Edition is your last chance to own a factory-fresh slice of the AMG compact dynasty before electrification takes the reins. If you want your driving thrills unfiltered, with one of the most savage four-pots ever dropped into a road car, this is it.
