VIVE LUXEMBOURG! PORSCHE UNVEILS THE STUNNING ONE-OFF 911 GT3 TOURING 'LëTZEBUERG LEGACY' TO CELEBRATE 75 YEARS IN THE GRAND DUCHY
Porsche Luxembourg is celebrating a big one - 75 years of importing Zuffenhausen’s finest into the Grand Duchy - and they’re doing it in serious style. Partnering with Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (that’s "special request") division and local contemporary artist Jacques Schneider, they’ve crafted a truly one-of-one masterpiece: the 911 GT3 with Touring Package – Lëtzebuerg Legacy Edition. This is one of the most extensively individualised Sonderwunsch creations yet, with fresh new techniques debuting across the car. We’re talking hand-painted lions, anthem lyrics stitched into the headliner, laser-etched wheels, and national pride baked into every square inch. Based on the raw and soulful 911 GT3 Touring, this tribute to Luxembourg ditches the signature swan-neck rear wing for a cleaner silhouette, trading aero theatre for subtlety. But subtle this car is not - just refined, like the country it honours. The naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six remains untouched, with 375 kW of glorious, high-revving fury and 450 Nm of torque. It’s the perfect base for an art project with proper bite. The exterior tells a story, literally. Over 700 painstaking hours went into painting the bodywork, starting with Ice Grey Metallic - a unique shade with a soft blue hue - layered with hand-applied Fire Red lion graphics. That lion, designed by Schneider, stretches across the bonnet, fenders, doors, roof, and even the fuel cap, a fierce nod to Luxembourg’s national coat of arms. And it doesn’t stop there. The words “Vive Vive Vive” - short for Vive Luxembourg - are laser-etched into the Graphite Grey-painted wheels, revealing the Ice Grey beneath in stunning contrast. The same phrase is plastered, in oversized letters, across the car’s underbody - because even when this thing is flying by, it’s waving the flag. Literally. Elsewhere, unique matte black badging on the B-pillars proudly proclaims “Porsche Lëtzebuerg Legacy,” and a custom '75' anniversary badge sits up front in the grille. The rear GT3 Touring badge? Matte black, too. Clean, cool, and unmistakably custom.
Inside, it’s even more bespoke. The Racetex headliner is embroidered with the opening lines of Luxembourg’s national anthem, laid out in Schneider’s own handwriting, alongside an embroidered map of the country. It’s poetic, personal, and - fittingly - a Sonderwunsch first. The interior lions don’t stop at the roof. They’re subtly printed into the seat centre panels, door cards, and centre console, all in Graphite Grey, using a multi-stage roller printing process. The result? A pattern that feels both artistic and high-end, with the surface sealed to prevent wear. Adaptive Sports Seats Plus get custom aluminium rear shells in black, marked with white 'Vive' lettering, while the door sills and pedals continue the brushed aluminium theme. One more first: the accelerator pedal is finished in Fire Red, tying the whole interior to the car’s fiery exterior accents. And then there’s the artist’s touch - literally. Schneider’s signature appears on the project badge, on the door sills, and stitched into the roof. It’s not just a design; it’s a deeply personal expression of Luxembourgish pride from someone who lives and breathes it.
"This unique sports car embodies the link between Porsche’s automotive heritage and Luxembourg’s cultural identity,” said Tom Weber, Porsche Luxembourg’s Brand Manager. “It pays homage to a 75-year partnership built on trust, passion, and shared values.”
Jacques Schneider, born in 1985, is a self-taught artist known for his vivid representations of Luxembourg’s landscapes and landmarks. “My homeland inspired every part of this car,” he says. “From the lion motif to my own handwriting in the interior, this GT3 carries my signature in every sense.”
The Losch Group, Porsche’s official Luxembourg importer since 1950, has played a massive role in this journey. What began as a vision from Martin Losch in 1948 has grown into one of the country’s premier mobility groups, operating 13 retail sites and covering everything from sales to cutting-edge mobility services. This GT3 is their thank-you note to the country and the brand that helped shape their legacy. Unveiled on 28 June at a private customer event in Luxembourg, the 911 GT3 Lëtzebuerg Legacy now stands as a rolling celebration of history, pride, and the kind of artistry only Porsche’s Sonderwunsch team can deliver.
