THE RANGE ROVER SPORT SV CARBON WILL LEAVE YOU SOME CHANGE FROM R4,000,000.

The new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon completes the performance flagship line-up alongside the SV and SV Black, bringing an assertive, lightweight edge to the luxury SUV segment. Unveiling globally at Range Rover House during Monterey Car Week, the SV Carbon stands out with its standard Forged Carbon Exterior Pack, Twill Exposed Carbon bonnet option, and curated paint finishes – including four exclusive colours plus SV Premium Palette choices. Performance is delivered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 with a mild hybrid setup that combines to produce a rather healthy 467kW of power with a typically brutish 750Nm of torque - capable of propelling the sizeable SUV to 290 km/h at the top end while affording it a 0-100 km/h shunt in a rapid 3.8 seconds. Optional 23-inch carbon fibre wheels and carbon ceramic brakes with coloured calipers shave 76kg from the kerb weight, enhancing handling and ride quality. Aerodynamic carbon detailing surrounds the Active Quad Exhausts, underlining the SV Carbon’s motorsport-inspired presence. Inside, the cabin features forged carbon fibre seatbacks and dashboard accents, with four interior themes including Windsor Leather or leather-free Ultrafabrics™. SV-specific performance seats offer integrated headrests, sculpted bolsters and illuminated SV logos, while 30-colour ambient lighting, extended Moonlight Chrome trim and SV illuminated treadplates add to the exclusivity. Technology highlights include 6D Dynamics hydraulic suspension for pitch and roll control, plus Body and Soul™ Seat (BASS) technology for a tactile, immersive audio experience.

The SV Carbon embodies Range Rover’s blend of dynamic capability, modern luxury and cutting-edge materials, offering clients the most assertive interpretation yet of its high-performance SUV.

Ryan Miller, Product and Services Marketing Director, Range Rover, said: “Following the introduction of the previously limited Range Rover Sport SV Edition ONE and Edition TWO, clients now have more choice when it comes to specifying their ultimate luxury performance SUV. Last month we announced the Range Rover Sport SV Black, offering a stealthy, dipped-in-black aesthetic, while the new Range Rover Sport SV Carbon is an assertive interpretation of our luxury performance SUV. Offered alongside Range Rover Sport SV and SV Black, it completes the new line-up showcasing the best of Range Rover’s sophisticated carbon fibre materials, for the ultimate expression of lightweight performance.”

Pricing for the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon here in sunny old South Africa starts from a mere R3,822,300. That’s a fair chunk of change, but it is a Range Rover, and that’s minimal tender money in the grand scheme of things.
