THERE'S A BRAND NEW AUDI Q3 AND IT LOOKS GREAT. WE'RE WAITING FOR ONE WITH THAT RS BADGING THOUGH.
Audi’s best-selling compact SUV is back for round three - and it’s bringing sharper design, smarter tech, and a fresh hit of electrified muscle to the premium playground. The new Q3 may not wear an R or RS badge yet, but it’s clearly more than a mid-cycle refresh. Up front, the aggressive new Singleframe grille is flanked by sleek digital Matrix LED headlights using next-gen micro-LED tech - a first for the compact Audi range - offering adaptive light signatures and improved road illumination. Around back, optional digital OLED taillights and those animated LED light strips add proper visual theatre, day or night. It's a sharper, more emotional design all around, with better aero and a lower, more planted look. Under the skin, buyers get a choice of punchy mild-hybrid petrol or diesel engines, or a new plug-in hybrid version that delivers up to 119 km of electric range and charges at 50 kW - properly useful stats for the daily grind. Adaptive suspension is now part of the deal, and whether you go standard, sport, or the new two-valve damper setup, it promises that typical Audi blend of comfort and composure.
Inside, things go full digital stage. Audi’s moved controls off the traditional stalks and into a new dual-lever system, freeing up space in the centre console and sharpening the overall user experience. There’s acoustic glass now too - usually reserved for bigger Audis - making this compact SUV impressively hushed at high speed. The boot’s practical, seats slide and recline, and there’s enough room to tow up to 2.1 tonnes. Tech takes a big leap too: an interior camera watches for signs of fatigue, and there’s adaptive cruise, reverse assist, and even a system that learns how you like to park. While this Q3 lays the groundwork with smart practicality and electrified efficiency, it also quietly hints at what’s coming - because let’s be honest, we all know Audi’s saving the real fireworks for the inevitable RS version. Still, as a high-tech, high-spec daily SUV, this one’s already set the bar pretty high.
