VIDEO: CRAZY RALLY DRIVER JUST BEAT THE COLIN'S CREST RECORD WITH A 147FT, 165KM/H JUMP!

Jumping his R5-specification car further than any of the top level World Rally Car drivers, Norway’s Brynildsen was a surprise winner of this year’s Colin’s Crest Award, named in honour of the 1995 World Champion Colin McRae. The record-breaking leap came on the second pass through the Vargåsen stage (SS16) and eclipsed the previous record of 44 metres set by Thierry Neuville in 2015. “I heard that Thierry didn’t believe that the Fiesta R5 could go that fast, but he can join me for a ride if he is unsure!” said Brynildsen, who was in fifth gear and travelling at around 165km/h when he took off.
