Home / Automotive / News / Video: This Custom Land Rover Suv Looks Like A Tank!

This is pretty much the most badass SUV money can buy. The East Coast Defender Project Viper is next level and built to your personal specifications. The Defender takes about a year to create and there is only 10 made per year.

For the past few years, East Coast Defender has been firing out compelling Land Rover Defenders; like it has been saving up ideas since the Defender was introduced back in 1948. We're talking beauties, like the Corvette-powered Project XIII and Beast. Now they have created a Defender so hot that they had to make a whole new division for it.

The Project Viper carries the usual V8 upgrade and modernised technology. What started as a Defender 130 has been outfitted with a 6.2-litre Chevy LS3 V8 putting out a whopping 430-horsepower along with a hand-built radiator and fuel tank, Wilwood brakes, King Off-Road Racing Shocks, 2-inch lifted Old Man Emu coil springs, custom ECD Edition 20inch wheels with Nitto Mud Grappler tires and a custom bed line with toolboxes and seating.

Project Viper is the first release from their new Ultimate Vehicle Concept (UVC) division and it's clearly a winner. Considering they will stick to their 10 vehicles a year only you best get in touch soon with your ideas. They'll base the vehicle on whatever the client wants, starting at $258,000 for this custom SUV.
