2021 AUDI A3 SEDAN CONFIRMED WITH TALK OF S3 AND RS3 MODELS

A new Audi A3 sedan has been confirmed for 2021, with talk of new S3 and RS3 sedan models.

Audi first introduced the sedan version of the Audi A3 in 2013, and was well received by automotive journalists around the world. Since then, Audi has launched a few facelifts and performance versions of the Audi A3 sedan, such as the Audi S3 sedan and their super-performer, the Audi RS3 sedan.

Audi has confirmed a brand new designed, bigger and faster Audi A3 sedan for 2021. The new 2021 Audi sedan is 40mm longer, 20mm wider and 10mm taller than the previous Audi A3 sedan, which brings it incredibly close to its big brother, the Audi A4. The upsizing of the Audi A3 sedan allows for a much more spacious and comfortable driving experience for both the driver and passengers, as well as allowing more room for the latest technology, safety requirements and storage space, especially in the A3 sedan boot.

Visually, the new Audi A3 sedan will receive a newly designed front grille, and Audi's iconic LED headlights which look like lasers illuminating the road ahead. The bonnet also receives a new look and design, with two eye-catching lines similar to the Audi A5. The tail-lights receive a lot of attention, with a completely new design similar to the other new 2020 Audi sedans. Furthermore, the wheel arches have swollen up with a beefy new wider design to give the new 2021 Audi A3 sedan a more aggressive look. These arches draw your attention towards the wheels and play together to give the 2021 Audi A3 sedan a more sleek and modern stance.

Inside, the interior receives a stunning new look and feel, with that special Audi modern touch like brushed aluminium trimmings and sporty yet comfortable seats with its diamond stitching pattern. The new infotainment system steps up to a high-tech 10.1-inch display, featuring all the top navigation and music applications as a standard such as Apple CarPlay and Andriod Auto. Audi also ensured that the Virtual Cockpit digital cluster is now a standard across all versions of the 2021 Audi A3 sedan, and features an ultra high definition 12.3-inch digital cluster display. Furthermore, the 2021 Audi A3 sedan will also offer a heads up display (HUD) available as an optional extra. The 2021 Audi A3 sedan will also feature shift-by-wire gear selectors for its dual-clutch 7-speed (DSG) gearbox as well as a start/stop button and keyless entry.

Performance specs for the 2021 Audi A3 sedan are still nothing more than speculation at this point, but it is a safe bet that Audi will continue with a newer version of their turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine based off the TSFI engine models, probably with a few more horsepowers and torque added into the mix.

There will most likely be two additional performance models like we are familiar with and yes, you guessed it, a whole new generation of Audi A3 sedan performance models – the 2021 Audi S3 as well as a 2021 Audi RS3. Audi has also teased us with the possible likelihood of a plug-in E-Tron Audi A3 sedan soon after the Audi A3 debut in 2021. Nevertheless, regardless of your choice of Audi A3 sedan preference, there will be plenty of models and powertrains to choose from in the 2021 Audi A3 sedan lineup.

Audi has taken drastic measures over the last decade to become the top German auto manufacturer, all the way back to the game-changing Audi B7 range, and with each model released they still continue to innovate, reinvent and exceed the laws of physics and science with their performance. The 2021 Audi A3 sedan, S3 sedan and RS3 sedan are most definitely worth waiting for, and you should be as excited for next year as we are. Well done Audi!
