4 DIFFERENT TYPES OF CAR BUILDS & HOW ITS A REFLECTION OF YOUR PERSONALITY

There are obviously hundreds of kinds of car builds and styles out there in the car scene that ranges from hot rods to Bozozuku and from JDM to stance, but in doing so, there are 4 main categories that reflect more of the builder personality when it comes to personal preference in modding cars.

Here are the 4 main types of car builds:

  • Function over form - These are the kinds of builds whereby each mod serves a practical purpose and usually tends to eliminate any sort of unnecessary flashiness.
  • Showcar builds - These are the kind of car builds that are completely outrageous, the ones that are built solely for being on show and hardly see the streets at all. It's purely for aesthetics.
  • Self-expression builds - We have seen them, a lot of people absolutely love them too. These are the kind of build that feature outrageous body kits, axel mounted rear spoilers, air suspension and of course a sick looking vinyl wrap design. These sorts of cars may also fall under the showcar builds but we see them cruising the streets as well.
  • Bought not built - There are always these kinds of guys at car meets, the ones who buy a pre-modified car and take it to the meet. This is not necessarily a bad thing, not by a long shot, but the issue the car community has is that most of these guys claim to have done the work themselves, but why lie?
