Knowing how to fix your car is a boon to every petrolhead, that's why we love videos like this one. This is a DIY guide to replacing the clutch on your car or truck.

YouTuber, ChrisFix, gives us a detailed how-to guide to replacing the clutch on your car but, for the layman, there's much more to a clutch than meets the eye.

When mechanics start throwing around terms like, "the throwout bearing is bad", or "you need to replace your flywheel", many of us go blank, and reruns of Spongebob Squarepants start playing in our heads.

Fortunately, there are people like ChrisFix who are really good at DIY guides. In the video below, he shows us "how to replace all of the wear items", from the pilot bearing to the pressure plate, rear main seal and lightweight aluminium flywheel, while explaining what each part does.

Yes, it may not be the easiest of parts to work on, but it'll give you a good idea of what needs to happen. This is good for calling out your mechanic who you think might be taking you for a ride.
