AFTER//HRS FIRST MEET OF 2018 – AWESOME FUN!

After attending one of After//hrs' events in late 2017, I got the impression that Wade, and the rest of the management of After//hrs, go through the effort of doing so mainly for one thing and one thing only: The passion for the modified car culture.

Quite a few events over the recent years have lost that critical aspect, and I was pleasantly surprised by After//Hrs and their events. All cars welcome, meet new people and have a chilled evening. To their surprise, they gained mass popularity over the past couple of events, and controlling events at that scale is no easy task! The last thing you want is for a couple of "those guys" to ruin the entire event for everyone.

On Friday the 26th of January, After//Hrs hosted their first event for 2018 at Menlyn Motor City in Pretoria East. I organised to be there early as to cover the event, I noticed when I got there that quite a few people had already pitched, excited for the evening, within 30 minutes, the entire place was packed with car clubs and spectators. It was a fantastic turnout, and to everyone's surprise, very calm, relatively quiet and chilled...maybe a few snap, crackle and pops, but hey, who hates that?

It's awesome to have such diverse taste all in one spot, from Alfa's to Fiats, and Scooby's to vintage trucks. There is something for everyone. Check out the gallery and leave us a comment below.
