ALFA ROMEO QUADRIFOGLIO COLLEZIONE | RED THREADS, OLD LEGENDS, NEW LIGHTNING, LIMITED EDITION.

Alfa Romeo is rolling out a double celebration of its most storied emblem with the Giulia Quadrifoglio Collezione and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione, two limited-edition love letters to the badge that’s been tangled in racing folklore for more than a century. The Quadrifoglio dates back to 1923, when Ugo Sivocci conquered the Targa Florio with his RL draped in that lucky charm. Since then, the symbol has sat like a quiet promise on Alfa’s fiercest competition machines. And in 1963, it leapt off the circuits and onto the road with the Giulia Ti Super, a moment that marked a shift toward mechanically elegant road cars infused with motorsport blood. That year becomes the heartbeat of this Collezione, revived in a batch of just 63 units destined for Europe, the UK, MEA, China and Japan. It’s a tribute designed to carry Alfa’s pride across continents, stitched with nostalgia yet pulsing with modern sharpness. Both models are born in the Cassino plant, where the rhythm of handcraft meets the hum of advanced machinery, producing cars that feel like artifacts from a workshop obsessed with grace and grit.

First impressions arrive violently and beautifully in colour. The Giulia wears “Rosso Collezione Giulia” and the Stelvio dons “Rosso Collezione Stelvio,” each one a riff on the 33 Stradale’s celebrated Rosso Villa d’Este. Alfa’s shades of red have always been more than paint; they’re chapters in its soul. From stripped-back pastels to metallic rushes to extravagant modern tri-coats, each hue has added to the legend. Rosso Villa d’Este itself debuted on the 4C Concept: a deep, ink-laced tone capable of turning from burning red to shadowed black depending on the light.

Here, it splits into two interpretations. The Giulia takes the darker reading, slipping into almost-black depth to match its more intense, razor-cut personality. The Stelvio, taller and bolder, leans toward an open, brighter red that suits its dual nature: brute force and daily adaptability living in the same body. Different moods, identical lineage. Two reflections of the same mythology. Step inside and the cabin turns into a warm, sculpted space shaped by leather, Alcantara and red stitching. A numbered embroidery runs from “1 di 63 Collezione” to the final car, turning each example into a chapter all its own. Sparco seats with carbon-fibre shells add a grounded, motorsport tactility, while leather-wrapped door and center panels reinforce the sense of curated craft. It’s a cockpit built to be inhabited, not merely occupied.

Under the bonnet, no surprises - the 2.9-litre V6 roars with 388 kW, the same unmistakable anger that has defined modern Quadrifoglios. It’s an engine that doesn’t just power the car, it narrates it. An Akrapovič exhaust system comes standard, sharpening the tone into something that dances between metallic clarity and V6 thunder. Carbon fibre appears like exclamation marks across the design: the front badge, the mirror caps, cabin trim, even an exposed carbon roof that adds a slice of motorsport frankness to the profile. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also standard, serving up both unrelenting stopping power and a flash of artistry thanks to burnished anodized calipers carrying the red Alfa Romeo signature. These aren’t simply special editions, they’re more like rolling tributes to a symbol that has shaped Alfa’s most breathtaking creations.
