BRAD PITT, GEORGE RUSSELL & A PROTOTYPE AMG LIGHT UP VEGAS AS MERCEDES PREVIEWS NEXT-GEN AMG GT 4-DOOR COUPE

Mercedes-AMG doesn’t do quiet announcements - especially not when the next chapter of its performance future is on the line. So for the reveal of its new global ambassador and a first tease of the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, the brand shut down a slice of Las Vegas, called in Hollywood royalty Brad Pitt, and handed a camouflaged prototype to George Russell like it was the keys to a rental hatchback. The result was a stunt-filled teaser that marks the beginning of AMG’s jump into a new electric performance era. Pitt, fresh off starring in the blockbuster F1 THE MOVIE, has officially joined the “World’s Fastest Family” as the face of the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupe - the first production model to ride on AMG’s all-new AMG.EA high-performance electric architecture, launching in 2026. Mercedes says Pitt embodies ambition, innovation, and presence - and honestly, pairing one of Hollywood’s most iconic petrolheads with Affalterbach’s next big EV isn’t a bad marketing move.

To kick off the partnership, AMG staged a high-energy cinematic stunt in Las Vegas. The setup: Brad Pitt awaits his car at a valet stand, only to realise the “valet” is actually F1 ace George Russell in full mischief-mode. Russell then proceeds to tear off into the night in a camouflaged AMG GT 4-Door Coupe prototype, giving the world its first glimpse of the car’s agility, precision and all-new driving character. The scene was equal parts playful and powerful - a hint that AMG wants this new GT 4-Door Coupe to be more than just another electric performance car. They want it to be the electrified AMG. And considering it’s the first model built on AMG.EA, this is the one that sets the tone for everything that comes after.

A new era of electric AMG Performance - under the skin, the upcoming GT 4-Door Coupe packs serious next-gen engineering.

Mercedes confirms:

• Three axial-flux electric motors: ultra-compact, insanely responsive, and capable of delivering massive continuous power.

• Direct-cooled high-performance battery: designed for repeatability - no fade, no drama, just sustained power laps.

• AMG.EA platform: the brand’s ground-up EV performance architecture, engineered for brutal torque delivery and track-ready stamina.

If the technology sounds familiar, it’s because the CONCEPT AMG GT XX demonstrated the same hardware earlier this year with a record-breaking run at Nardò. The upcoming GT 4-Door Coupe will take that R&D and turn it into a road-legal weapon. Michael Schiebe, AMG boss and head of G-Class & Maybach, calls Pitt the perfect match for the new chapter: “His authenticity and his taste for the exceptional perfectly reflect the spirit of our upcoming four-door Coupe.”

Brad Pitt ties his excitement to his love of performance: “I’ve always been a fan of performance - both on screen and behind the wheel. I’m proud to be part of this next chapter.”

And George Russell, after spending the day sliding an unreleased prototype around Vegas, summed it up like a racer: “The car feels fantastic… AMG has created something truly special.”
