BENTLEY’S 2025 REMEMBRANCE CAR, BUILT TO HONOUR WW1 HEROES 85 YEARS ON.

Bentley Motors has unveiled its latest tribute to the Armed Forces - a one-of-a-kind Bentayga EWB Azure, designed to honour those who gave their lives during the Battle of Britain and, more poignantly, the 17 colleagues lost at the Crewe site when the bomb fell over the Rolls-Royce and Bentley factory 85 years ago. The car, developed by Bentley’s design team in collaboration with the colleague-led BeReady network, is more than a vehicle; it is a moving memorial, a symbol of remembrance, and a canvas for history. Satin Artica White wraps the Bentayga, while metallic gold details shimmer across its surface. On the side, the silhouette of an aircraft arcs gracefully behind the wing vent, trailing a cascade of poppies that grow in size as they descend - a visual echo of lives lost and sacrifice remembered. Gold initials mark each of the 17 colleagues, while the number 85 adorns the grille. Inside, bespoke poppy embroidery carries the tribute into the cabin, allowing reflection to accompany every journey. For Bentley, this project is about memory, courage, and community. Robin Page, Director of Design, said: “Every detail of the Bentayga – from the cascading poppies to the gold initials - honours those who served and ensures their legacy continues to inspire through design.”

The BeReady network, one of Bentley’s DEIB initiatives, provides a supportive space for veterans and acting reservists; for them, the Remembrance Car is a tangible reminder of bravery and shared heritage. Chris Cole, Product Line Director, added: “Bentley continues to show its respect and commitment to the Armed Forces around the world. This year’s Remembrance focuses on the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the tragic loss of colleagues at Crewe in 1940.”

The Remembrance Car is set to journey across the UK, starting in the local Crewe community before appearing at the Race of Remembrance in Anglesey, organised by Mission Motorsport, where it will serve as the course car for an event uniting communities in reflection. On 11 November, it will return to Bentley’s Crewe headquarters for a moment of quiet remembrance with colleagues, and on 18 November, it will be displayed at His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire Awards, embodying Bentley’s enduring commitment to honouring and supporting the Armed Forces. In every poppy, every gold initial, and every thoughtful detail, the 2025 Remembrance Car carries both history and heart - a moving tribute to sacrifice, service, and the enduring human spirit.
