BONHAMS BRINGS HOLLYWOOD TO THE AUCTION BLOCK – 50 ICONIC MOVIE CARS, NO RESERVE.
From Fast & Furious to Back to the Future, from Taxi to The Dukes of Hazzard - some of the most recognisable cars in film history are about to go under the hammer. Bonhams|Cars is hosting one of the coolest auctions of the year, featuring 50 movie and TV vehicles plus 19 pieces of automobilia, all offered without reserve. The sale runs online from 21 to 28 November 2025, giving petrolheads and movie buffs the chance to own a slice of screen history. The collection comes from the Movie Cars Central Museum, a pop culture shrine just outside Paris run by enthusiast and collector Franck Galiègue. Over the years, he’s curated one of the most eclectic and film-famous collections in Europe - and now, he’s ready to hand over the keys to a new generation of fans.
“It’s been an incredible adventure,” says Galiègue. “Now it’s time for these cars to find new homes and for me to start the next automotive chapter.” Bonhams is kicking things off in style, displaying the original 1999 Peugeot 406 V6 from Taxi 2 at Salon Époqu'Auto in Lyon (7–9 November). It’s probably the most famous car in French cinema - and this on-screen hero carries an estimate of €70,000 - 120,000.
“Most of these cars are authentic pieces of cinema and modern automotive history,” says Bonhams Specialist Loïc Maschi. “With no reserve, we’re expecting a global audience - and hopefully, a box office result to match.”
Naturally, the Fast & Furious franchise takes pole position in the lineup, especially after Bonhams’ record-breaking sale of Paul Walker’s R34 GT-R, which fetched $1.36 million in 2023. Eight cars from the series are featured this time, including the instantly recognisable 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII from 2 Fast 2 Furious, estimated at €250,000 - 500,000.
Backing it up is a supporting cast of pure movie muscle:

The French film scene gets its due with more Taxi movie stars, including the Peugeot 407 V6 Replica from Taxi 5 (estimate: €16,000 - 36,000), alongside the original Taxi 2 406.
Beyond that, Bonhams is bringing serious movie car pedigree:

Not every car needs an A-list VIN to steal the show. The collection also includes a bunch of high-quality replicas inspired by the greatest movie and TV cars ever made:

There’s even movie memorabilia for collectors who prefer a little prehistoric drama: a life-size T-Rex surrounded by vehicles from Jurassic Park (estimate: €35,000 - 60,000) and a replica hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II (estimate: €1,500 - 2,200).
With no reserve on any lot, this is one sale where dreams might actually come true - or where movie memorabilia fans end up fighting tooth and nail for bragging rights.
