ALL FORMULA 1 FATAL CRASHES 1953 - 2014

Here is a list of all the fatal crashes ever recorded in the history of Formula 1 from its infancy in 1953 right up to the last fatal incident in 2014.

Formula 1 has grown into one of the biggest spectator sports in all of its existence with its later years breaking records. The money involved in Formula 1 is right up there with football and the drivers are considered superstars in their own right.

However, like many other sports, modern-day Formula 1 isn't exactly free of all potential hazards. Formula 1 has indeed had a dark history with fatalities largely as a result of insufficient safety protocols by the race teams and governing bodies. The FIA indeed has upped their game at making Formula 1 as safe as possible and to a larger extent they have been successful, but there is and always will be room for improvement.
