AMALGAM COLLECTION UNVEILS NEW MONACO-INSPIRED TAZIO NUVOLARI MODELS FOR ITS STUNNING MAN & MACHINE RANGE
Since the dawn of the automobile, humans have been entranced by cars. Whether it’s the guttural roar of a V8, the raw connection felt behind the wheel, or the elegant brutality of race-bred engineering, there's something deeply primal about speed and machine. For some, that fascination becomes an obsession - a need to push the limit, chase victory, and pilot machines built for one thing only: racing. Scale model cars capture that essence in miniature. They let us own pieces of automotive history we might never drive, park dream machines on desks and mantels, and remind ourselves what we're working towards. While the market is full of brands making impressive models, one name towers above the rest: Amalgam Collection. Known for their precision, artistry, and jaw-dropping 1:8 scale masterpieces, Amalgam doesn’t build models - they sculpt icons. Now, they’ve taken things to another level again with the latest additions to their new “Man & Machine” collection, a series that fuses legendary drivers and their cars into awe-inspiring 1:8 scale tributes. And this time, the spotlight is firmly on a name etched into racing folklore - Tazio Nuvolari - and his iconic appearances at the Monaco Grand Prix in the early 1930s. Each piece in Amalgam’s Man & Machine series is the result of hundreds of hours of painstaking research, development, and craftsmanship. The models are already extraordinary - faithful, intricate recreations of historic machines - but what sets this series apart is the addition of driver figurines, handcrafted and hand-painted by master artisans in Venice, Italy. From race suit creases to facial expressions, these art figurines capture each legend frozen in time, rich in detail and authenticity.
Tazio Nuvolari – The Flying Mantuan Immortalised in 1:8
Few drivers in history command the mythos of Tazio Nuvolari. The Italian maestro redefined what it meant to be fast, brave, and unrelenting behind the wheel. Inventor of the four-wheel drift and conqueror of races from the Mille Miglia to Le Mans, Nuvolari wasn’t just a driver - he was a force of nature. Even the gods of motorsport bowed their heads to him. To honour this motorsport demigod, Amalgam has revealed two new ultra-limited models - each a rolling, sculpted tribute to a specific moment of Nuvolari’s Monaco Grand Prix heroics.

Seated beside the car is a meticulously crafted Nuvolari figurine, capturing his pre-race composure or post-race grit, depending on your finish preference: pristine or patinated.
Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 – 1932 Monaco Grand Prix
Tazio Nuvolari Art Figurine Edition - Limited to just 28 pieces worldwide
A car worthy of legend - Nuvolari’s Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, chassis 2111043, which he drove to victory at the 1932 Monaco Grand Prix. The model celebrates this triumph with the same obsessive attention to detail as its Bugatti counterpart, and it too comes with a handcrafted, hand-painted Nuvolari figurine, standing roughly 20 cm tall, full of character and era-correct charm. Choose your finish: clean and concours-ready, or realistically weathered after a hard-fought win through the tight streets of Monte Carlo.
Each edition is a rare artefact - a museum-grade celebration of Nuvolari's enduring spirit, captured in exquisite miniature. For collectors, racing fans, or those who simply appreciate the art of performance, these models offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a tangible slice of motorsport mythology.
