We are in a particularly weird time in the automotive industry especially if you are in the market for a new car, you have then probably had the thought cross your mind of whether or not you should consider switching to an electric vehicle alternative or stick you to your well-proven turbocharged in-line four.

But the honest question that has been on the rise lately is that are electric cars of today going to be obsolete in the near future?

Well, to answer that question we first have to appreciate just how far electric cars have come in recent years. Electric cars of today have proven to be a wise and competitive alternative, especially in countries where you have to tax your vehicles annually and EV's offering no road tax whatsoever. But electric cars, as amazing as they may seem now, are indeed going to be obsolete in a few years time as new alternatives and technologies arise.
