BENTLEY GOES TO THE DARK SIDE – MEET THE NEW BLACK EDITION, AND DROOL.
Bentley’s luxury war machine just got a stealth-mode upgrade. The freshly launched Black Edition is now available across the Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur lineups - and it’s as bold as it is blacked out. Limited to just 400 units worldwide, this rare breed of Bentley blends sinister styling with hybrid muscle and a chassis setup borrowed from the formidable GT Speed. Under the sculpted bonnet lives Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid - a brutal blend of a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and an electric motor. Combined, they serve up a cool 500 kW and 930 Nm, capable of launching the Continental GT from 0–100 km/h in a rather rapid 3.7 seconds. The drop-top GTC and stately Flying Spur aren’t far behind, clocking 3.9 seconds to triple digits. That’s proper supercar territory for a luxury barge with a sizeable body and lots of heft. And if you’re feeling green? Flip the switch and you’ve got up to 80 km of pure electric range for guilt-free gliding.
The Black Edition builds on Bentley’s Blackline specification and then turns it up a few notches. Think:
Gloss black ‘Winged B’ badges front and rear (a first for Bentley)
Gloss black brightware and grille detailing
Gloss black 22-inch ten-spoke alloys (with an optional two-tone machined finish)
Optional Mandarin brake calipers - free of charge but full of flair
Black Edition badging on the fenders, just to remind everyone they’re not looking at an average Bentley
The Continental models also come with the elegant new Harmony single headlamp design and a slick welcome animation - because pulling up like a boss should look the part.
Inside, it’s more of the same blacked-out brilliance with touches of colour to match your personality. You get:
Black Edition embroidery on the headrests
Piano Black veneers
Contrast stitching in your chosen hue
Mood Lighting Specification, rotating display, sports pedals, and comfort seats all standard
Oh, and Black Edition treadplates, because details matter when you’re dropping GDP-level money on a car.
Performance Meets Precision
This isn’t just about looks. The Performance Active Chassis from the GT Speed makes its way into the Black Edition, unlocking sharper handling and an adaptive character. In Sport mode, it can throw 100% of the power to the rear wheels, with recalibrated rear-wheel steering, firmer damping, and stiffer anti-roll settings for maximum precision. Whether you’re cruising in Comfort or attacking corners, the Black Edition adapts on the fly, always delivering that unmistakable Bentley poise. Blacked-out badges. Hybrid punch. Limited-run status. The Black Edition is a full-blown performance statement. Sleek, stealthy, and savage, it’s proof that the future of luxury motoring wears black.
Take a look at the YouTube video that sadly doesn't show off a new Black Edition from these new styling packages, but it is a new Continental GT in black and that's pretty much the same thing.
