BMW'S NEW MARKETING IS BACKFIRING BADLY - HERE IS WHY

BMW is nothing sky of a legendary brand in the automotive industry as well as in the performance car range. Over the decades, they have done some very clever advertising that usually takes the piss out of their biggest rivals, Mercedes Benz and Audi in a very tongue-in-cheek kind of way which was usually clever.

However, recently BMW has made some rather questionable decisions specifically in their marketing, per example, the official promotional video for the new BMW M2 was without a doubt filmed to perfection, but BMW then decided to overlay the sound of a Lamborghini. This sparked up huge backlash and resulted in them removing the video entirely!

But that's not all, the new BMW XM has just been announced and aside from its ambitious looks and technology, the promotional video essentially mocked the older generation and their love for classic cars and that backfired rather badly too.

What is going on?
