DAMASCUS VINYL WRAP FILM LOOKS INSANE!
The car wrapping and vinyl manufacturing industry is absolutely booming. Not only for business car branding but for the aftermarket industry as well.
For years on end, if you wanted to change the colour of your car, you would have no other choice but to do a full respray, which has its downside as well. A full respray can cost quite a bit so, usually, it's not an option for a lot of people. It ends up being completely out of reach financially and, furthermore, it's not as simple as just rolling up to a paint booth. Most panels have to be removed and, in doing so, many clips break which causes the bumpers, panels and side skirts to never lineup properly afterwards.
Vinyl, although not as durable as paint, proves to be far more cost-effective and time-efficient. It even serves to protect your paint as well, which is why it has become so popular.
Vinyl manufacturers, such as 3M, have developed an entire catalogue of not only colours but textures as well. From high gloss, matte, satin and even large metallic flake pearlescent textures as well.
What seems to be surfacing worldwide is a completely new vinyl texture called Damascus, inspired by the steel Damascus process, that looks phenomenal!
