DETAILING A MILLION-DOLLAR BIZZARRINI P538 COVERED IN 30-YEARS OF DIRT

This video is awesome for two things; the first is the million-dollar barn find, the second is the unbelievable detailing of this vehicle, covered in 30-plus-years of dirt. Check out this ultra-rare Bizzarrini P538 among a collection of over 300 cars.

Back in the late 1970s, this unnamed collector started buying and storing a variety of vehicles. From common Pinto's to rare Ferrari's, stock Mustangs to restomod Cadillac's and much, much more. In fact, this collection includes over 300 vehicles split between three storage facilities.

Now, 40-plus years later, the collector has decided to put this collection up for sale, and other collectors are licking their lips in anticipation. With this in mind, the state of these cars, although in relatively good condition, is not auction-ready, with decades of dust and grime covering most of them.

Enter the guys from AMMO NYC, who are legends in the car detailing game. They've been tasked with the first of many clean-up jobs in this collection, a Bizzarrini P538.

The history of the Scuderia Bizzarrini motor company is light on details, especially when it comes tho the P538. Originally built in 1965 and 1966, it made its first appearance in public at the Le Mans of 66. The first two cars were powered by a Chevy Corvette 327-cu.in. V8 but, after one of them was reported to have crashed during development, it is thought that a third car was built.

In 1967, it is said that Bizzarrini re-bodied one of the first two as a coupe and sold it to the Duke of Aosta. The other, which is considered to be the 1966 Le Mans racer, was also re-bodied and sold to Giugiaro at ItalDesign. According to Wikipedia, both of these vehicles have remained untouched in their collections, and "are the only two V8s that can be reliably confirmed as Bizzarrinis built in the 1960s".

Until now. The vehicle in this video is stamped as 003 and is also powered by a Chevy V8. It has been sitting in storage, unseen for 32-years, and it's up to AMMO NYC to get it back to showroom condition.

This video takes us through all the steps required to get the paint into original condition, clean up the interior and breath life into the leather upholstery. They also give the motor a good once-over and get the wheels and tyres glistening.

This video gives us a glimpse of the past by reinvigorating a classic. Check out how this Bizzarrini P538 goes from barn find to auction ready, million-dollar car with a comprehensive detailing.
