ECU TUNING OFFICIALLY BANNED IN CALIFORNIA

Its been around 50 years since the state of California started to clamp down hard on the automotive industry with the intention of cutting down on emissions and pollution, and over the years, new laws and restrictions were implemented as a result. This lead the hobbyists to assume that the world of car modification was over, but they were wrong time and time again.

But now the state of California is pushing towards going fully electric, much like each and every country around the world so it is inevitable.

However, in the attempt of California trying to further reduce car emissions, it is now official that the governing body of the State has banned ECU tuning that does not meet the standards of the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), which essentially means that aftermarket tuning is now a thing of the past in the State of California.
