FAST AND FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT TRIBUTE – ZANDIA BENECKE – OVERSTEER – PART 5

We needed a firecracker to be our pin-up when we decided to do the Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift tribute Nissan 350Z, and we found it with the sublime Zandia Benecke.

From riding motorcycles to trying things more than once just to see if she likes it better, this fearless pin-up powered into our lives and knocked the socks off us with her energy and passion.

This is not surprising as girls from the South of Johannesburg usually are feisty and strong. And, in Zandia's case, funny and drop-dead gorgeous too. The perfect girl then, it seems, to tame our Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift tribute 350Z.

We sat down with the smouldering Zandia to find out more about her, this is how it went:

Q) So, tell us a bit about yourself, what do you like to do in your spare time?

A) I love the outdoors and hiking, so anything involving that I'm in! I'm also a bit of a baker and really enjoy creating new dishes too, which has been so much fun since I've become pescatarian!

Q) We're really good at eating. Hiking, not so much... What is your dream car?

A) A BMW 325is is the one I definitely need to get my hands on... I'm a bit of a South girl at heart! Haha. But, after this video was shot, I think I got my eye on the 350Z... zee in a z 😉

Q) Hmm... we'll have to hide the keys from you then. Do you prefer manual or auto cars?

A) Manual. You've gotta take it all the way!

Q) Nice! What kind of car do you drive and do you have a name for it?

A) Sadly, I'm currently saving for one of my very own, but I do get to drive some of my friends' cars and, of course, they each have a different one to suit either their look or their temper. Haha.

Q) That's awfully nice of them. What is something that you’ve tried that you’ll never do again?

A) I really tried to think about this one, and I can't honestly say. When it comes to just about anything (relationships not included 🤣), I'll always try it again. You never know if you might like it this time around.

Q) We can definitely think of things we won't try again... If it was an apocalypse and you were the last woman left on Earth, which three cars would you steal first?

A) First of all, a big ass Jeep that I can climb anything with! Second, maybe something really fast, like a Koenigsegg, that I can take for some joy rides on an airstrip or through hills like in Italy somewhere. And last, I would have to say a G63 AMG – because why the fuck not?

Q) Ha! Who are we to argue? Do you know how to change a tyre?

A) I can say that I do, but with my limited upper body strength, it might take a while. With my dad, you learn quickly.

Q) What is currently in the boot of your car?

A) Why so nosy, Mr? If I tell you, I'd have to put you in there too!

Q) Err... moving on. If you were forced to choose between a car, a horse, or a bike, which one would you take?

A) This is so difficult. I grew up with bikes, and they're the leading cause of all my scars, haha. Then again, I can see myself majestically riding a horse through an open field, living my best life. But, with cars, there's drifting, and that's an art! I don't think I could live my life without it. Haha.

Q) If you were to choose one body part to sell to own your dream car, which part would it be?

A) A kidney? 🤣 I think I'll need the rest to drive the car!

Q) I guess that's why we have two kidneys. Other than a hot car, what else do you consider a turn on in a man?

A) A sense of humour definitely! Encountering road rage or sitting in traffic would be a lot better if you've got someone making you laugh.

Q) We've got jokes! Like, does size really matter?
A) As long as the job gets done, does it really? 😉

Q) Excellent answer! What did you think of the turnout at our Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift themed shoot?

A) Best idea yet! The car meets in South Africa can learn a thing or two!
Haha, just kidding, it was definitely a lot of fun, I think we should do another one in tribute to the video. We can get a lot more people involved in the community.

Q) A tribute to the tribute? Good idea. Being the centre of attention, and with so many people around you at the shoot, what was your motivation to stay in character?

A) Suki! She just dominates the scene wherever she goes and does it with complete confidence.

Q) She's one of our favourites too! What do you like most about the Tokyo Drift tribute Nissan 350Z you modelled with?

A) The Tokyo Drift theme was a complete winner! Everyone got to try something a little different and the ladies looked amazing! What's not to love?

Q) Indeed, and you blew us away too. In three words or more, describe how the Nissan 350Z felt to model with?

A) Exciting, empowering, motivated.

Q) What are you doing right now as you are answering these questions?

A) Sitting at a tattoo parlour under the needle, finishing up the tattoo on my arm that you can see in the video. Haha!
