HOW TO WRAP YOUR CAR WITH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Take a look at this tutorial on how to wrap your car with Christmas lights.

Wrapping your car with Christmas lights might sound like the last thing you'll ever want to do to your car, but strangely enough, the trend has been steadily growing in popularity, especially during the festive season!

But what are the best practices on how to do it right without damaging your car. Well, we dug through the internet to find the best tutorial on how to do this flashy mod!

First of all, you're going to want to take a drive out to your local Christmas supply store. Be sure to hook yourself up with some portable Christmas lights that are both waterproof and battery operated, preferably at least two metres in length and, depending on how dense you want to wrap your car with lights, maybe 6-10 boxes. You'll also want to get yourself some batteries. Double-check the required sizes, usually, they will require AAs. You'll also want to find a way to secure the lights to the car panels as well, we recommend you use clear sellotape, two-way tape and cable ties.

Once you have all your accessories, and before you start installing the lights, you want to make sure you give your car a good wash as you'll not be able to do so until you remove the lights again.

Next, plan on where you want your lights to go, a good starting point would be to follow the wheel arches, door and rooflines and the front and rear bumper with the lights battery pack two-way taped to either the front windshield (just out of reach of the wiper path) or the rear windscreen.

Once your lights are installed, make sure you drive with caution and avoid driving on the freeway!
