HYUNDAI LAUNCHES ELECTRIC VEHICLE SUB-BRAND

South Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai launches an electric vehicle sub-brand called Ioniq.

As the market for electric vehicles continues to rise, more and more established auto manufacturers want a piece of the pie and invest in research and development of the futuristic technology, however, the consequences if they don't could be severe. The latest car manufacturer to adapt its brand to cater for electric vehicles is Hyundai.

Auto manufacturers have many different approaches to the electric vehicle market, what we have seen in the past is either add electric cars to their line up, go fully electric like Tesla or create a sub-brand like Hyundai with Ioniq
