INSTALLING A LIFT KIT ON A GMC DURAMAX PICK-UP

As one would expect from SXdrv, most videos regarding suspension mods are usually either bag installations or a lowering kit. This time, I thought we'd do something different and see how to install a lift kit on a GMC Duramax pick-up.

First things first, though. This is actually Part 9 of a series called Rebuilding A Wrecked 2019 GMC Duramax by the boys at goonzquad. The previous parts are pretty cool too, but this one's unique. It's not often we get to watch a lift kit install on a channel more accustomed to lowered sports cars.

This particular kit is supplied by BDS, is rated as one of the best in the USA, and comes complete with everything required to install it yourself.

With a lift kit comes big wheels, 37x13,50R24's to be precise. Yup, not monster truck big, but more than enough for a tow vehicle. Chromed Specialty Forged rims finish off the look.

Yup, this mod may not be in everyone's taste, but there is definitely a market for it. Heck, now all they need to do is give it a wide-body kit!

Regardless, it's excellent to see guys who clearly love what they're doing. Quite often, we ignore the work-horses that do the heavy lifting, like towing our race cars and hauling parts.
