INSTALLING COILOVER SUSPENSION - DIY

Coilover suspension is a fantastic mod to drastically improve your handling as well as giving your car that stance it deserves.

There are many types and configurations of coilover suspension setups available, each one offering different uses, but the most popular kind would be variable ride height adjustable coilovers.

Once you have chosen the right coilovers for your car, now comes the time to install them.

As common as coilovers are and as straightforward as the installation may seem, there are a lot of things to take into consideration first to ensure a good install.

You want to ensure that you prep the install as well as possible by choosing a suitable workstation that has a flat surface as you will be jacking up each wheel of the car. You also want to make sure you know exactly where the suspension mounts are on your car and how to access them from both the top and from the wheel bays.

Then before you install them, you also want to ensure that your right height is set on your new coilovers as well. Even though you may adjust them once they are installed, you want to get them as close to where they need to be prior to installation.

Lastly, once they have been installed, it's never a bad idea to get your wheels aligned.
