JAPAN'S STRANGE OBSESSION WITH AMERICAN CARS
Japanese car culture is not exclusive to JDM cars as you might assume, they are actually really obsessed with American cars too!
When you think of Japanese car culture, what comes to mind? I'm willing to place a bet that you are thinking more along the lines of a modified Nissan Skyline GTR R34 or a Toyota Supra, Nissan 350Z's, Toyota 86's, Nissan 300ZX's and 240SX's, and even the Mazda RX-7, which is true. But the car culture is far more diverse than just JDM cars.
As much as American's love JDM cars, the Japanese love American cars. So much so, in fact, that they even have their own lowrider clubs and car meets and, even more specifically, car meets and clubs exclusively based around American Muscle!
But there is most definitely a difference though. As much as the Japanese love American cars, they have their own way of modifying them in a typical JDM fashion, with lights inside and out, crazy sound systems and flashy bodywrap designs!
