LAMBORGHINI GOES ALL-IN: MEET THE ALL-NEW TEMERARIO GT3, THE 1ST GT3 BUILT ENTIRELY IN-HOUSE.

Sant’Agata Bolognese has just rewritten its own motorsport playbook. Say hello to the all-new Lamborghini Temerario GT3 - the Italian brand’s first-ever race car entirely designed, developed, and built in-house at the legendary Sant’Agata factory. Born from the same fire that forged the Temerario road car, this GT3 machine isn’t a mere evolution of the Huracán GT3, this beast is a full-scale revolution. Unveiled at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Temerario GT3 sets a new benchmark for Lamborghini’s motorsport future. It’s more than just a racer; it’s proof that when you engineer a road car with racing in its DNA from day one, the result is something extraordinary. Unlike previous Lamborghini GT3 projects, which relied heavily on third-party race prep, the Temerario GT3 was built 100% in-house. Lamborghini’s engineers, aerodynamicists, and design teams worked in lockstep to fuse road-going madness with full-bore motorsport focus. The Temerario GT3 starts with a reworked version of the road car’s aluminium spaceframe, stripped, lightened, and refined for the track. Quick-release subframes front and rear allow rapid access during pit stops, and a full FIA-spec roll cage has been seamlessly integrated into the central structure. Gone is the road car’s hybrid system, but only because of the fact that GT3 regulations don’t allow it, but what’s left over still remains an absolute beast of an engine. A twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, re-engineered specifically for endurance racing, now delivers a BOP-compliant 550 hp, replacing the road car’s 800-horsepower hybrid punch. A new turbo and compressor setup, paired with a flat-plane crankshaft and titanium conrods, ensures maximum response and balance, and the exhaust note is as expected. Let’s just say, Capristo had their way with it - and it screams. This motor is mated to a 6-speed transverse sequential gearbox, delivering power to the rear wheels with relentless urgency. The whole drivetrain has been engineered for durability, ease of maintenance, and performance at full chat, all race long. The GT3’s bodywork is a full-carbon affair, co-developed by Squadra Corse and Lamborghini Centro Stile to blend form with function. It carries the unmistakable silhouette of the road-going Temerario but with every surface carved for performance. Massive ducts feed critical airflow to the engine and brakes, while a new floor design and high-efficiency rear diffuser generate serious downforce.

In true endurance racing fashion, the entire body has been engineered for speed, not just on track, but in the pits. Front and rear clamshells lift off in one piece, the floor splits into four sections for fast servicing, and even the LED headlamps use quick-connect systems. From nose to tail, this car is built to be fought over by mechanics as much as by drivers. Underneath, it’s all about balance and adjustability. The Temerario GT3 features a longer wheelbase and wider track than its predecessor for greater cornering stability. All-new 6-way KW dampers, shared with Lamborghini’s SC63 LMDh prototype, make their debut here, offering rapid tuning between stints. Even the suspension mounting plates have been redesigned for easier pit-lane adjustments. Wheels are 18-inch centre-lock race units from Ronal AG, wrapped in championship-grade rubber from all major GT3 tyre suppliers. A custom hydraulic steering rack provides pin-sharp feedback and geometry suited for any series, anywhere in the world.

Inside, it’s a cockpit crafted with the insight of Lamborghini’s factory aces Marco Mapelli and Andrea Caldarelli, who helped refine everything from seating ergonomics to steering wheel controls. The newly developed steering wheel and switchgear are fully bespoke, featuring improved graphics, smarter layout, and faster access to critical functions. The revised electronics package brings new software and a state-of-the-art data logger, giving teams real-time insight and ultimate control. Everything has been built for speed, reliability, and maximum driver focus under pressure.

The Temerario GT3 is still in its final development phase and is set to make its competitive debut at the Sebring 12 Hours in March 2026. Lamborghini will continue to support customer teams running the proven Huracán GT3 EVO2 throughout the transition, ensuring nobody gets left behind as the marque enters this bold new chapter.
