MCLAREN’S 750S LE MANS IS A 750 HP TRIBUTE TO A 24-HOUR MASTERCLASS, 30 YEARS ON

McLaren is in full celebratory mode - and rightfully so. It's been 30 years since the brand rocked up to the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a constructor for the first time… and won. On June 18, 1995, the McLaren F1 GTR, wearing the now-iconic #59 livery and piloted by JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas, and Masanori Sekiya, did the unthinkable: it conquered the toughest endurance race in the world on debut. To mark that milestone, McLaren Automotive has unleashed a very limited-edition homage - the 750S Le Mans. It’s not just another special edition with a fancy badge and new paint. This is a carefully curated performance statement, armed with aerodynamic upgrades, design details straight from the GT playbook, and a direct line of DNA from that glorious F1 GTR. Only 50 examples will be produced for the entire planet.

Enter: The MSO HDK Era

This isn't the first time McLaren’s MSO (McLaren Special Operations) division has gone wild with a Le Mans tribute, but the 750S Le Mans is the first one to be fitted with the High Downforce Kit (HDK). It’s a full-on aero assault:

A raised carbon fibre Active Rear Spoiler with extended endplates

A new front bumper sporting a deeper, gloss-black carbon splitter

A redesigned under-wing panel with louvres that scream motorsport aggression

The result is a 10% increase in downforce over the standard 750S - and visual drama that could stop traffic at Le Mans or the local cars & coffee.

From Pitlane to Paintwork

The 750S Le Mans wears its inspiration proudly. The colour palette is a direct nod to the 1995-winning F1 GTR, with two striking exterior themes:

Le Mans Grey - a faithful throwback to the race car

McLaren Orange - because McLaren purists know the legacy behind the hue

Both schemes come accented with gloss black details, a carbon fibre roof scoop, and newly developed 5-spoke LM wheels that shout retro-modern racer. Tucked behind those wheels? F1 Gold-painted brake calipers with a red McLaren logo, tying everything together with heritage-laced precision.

Step into the 750S Le Mans and it's clear this isn’t your average McLaren interior. You’ve got a choice of:

Carbon Black Alcantara with Dove Grey accents, or

Carbon Black Alcantara with McLaren Orange pops

Both specs are laced with Le Mans-branded floormats, debossed headrest logos, and a bespoke dedication plaque to cement their limited-edition status. And if you’re one of those ‘go big or go home’ types, McLaren will let you option in a track record plaque, proudly listing that 1995 victory and Triple Crown glory (Le Mans, Monaco GP, Indy 500) in the front luggage compartment.

Optional Add-Ons for the Hardcore Collector

McLaren’s also opened the order book on a handful of exclusive options for Le Mans owners, including:

Gloss Visual Carbon Fibre everything - from hood scoops to diffuser packs

A full Track Brake Upgrade

A Louvre Pack for extra aero flex

Carbon scoops, carbon mirrors, carbon spoiler endplates - you get the idea. It’s full MSO madness.

750S Power and Chassis, Untouched and Unchallenged

At its heart, the 750S Le Mans remains the same beautifully unhinged beast we know:

A 750 hp 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8

A Monocage II carbon structure keeps things featherlight

Proactive Chassis Control III works overtime to deliver agility and precision

The end result is one of the lightest, sharpest, and most engaging supercars on sale today - just with even more bragging rights now.

As McLaren’s Chief Commercial Officer Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer puts it: “This exclusive 750S is the first McLaren Le Mans edition since the F1 LM to feature HDK aerodynamic enhancements and is set to become one of our most sought-after supercars.” Only 50. Two colours. Heritage styling. Real-deal aero. And the last word in performance from Woking. If McLaren had to celebrate 30 years of Le Mans glory, this is exactly how you do it - fast, focused, and ferociously limited.
