MODIFICATION GURUS MANSORY'S STRANGEST VEHICLE TRANSFORMATION TO DATE...

When it comes to supercars and hypercars, one of the most exclusive companies to offer makeovers and transformations is Mansory. The company does some of the most detailed and amazing work possible, and they don’t just specialise in one area of a car, they have the skills, capabilities and products to afford a comprehensive makeover to any car. That said, they only really deal with the best of the best, which is why you’re likely to recognise the Mansory name linked to Bugatti. Back when the Veyron was the be-all and end-all of hypercars, the house of Mansory offered up three limited-edition Bugatti Veyron Mansory units to tantalise the world’s wealthiest collectors. With the makeover costing nearly a cool $1 000 000 it makes sense why more weren’t built.

A couple of years back a new collaboration kicked off between Mansory and BSTN Premium Sportswear, with the idea being to pay homage to the design idea of the very first Air Jordan sneaker created over 25 years ago. The iconic sneaker from the golden era of basketball was set to celebrate its 25th anniversary the brand new "Air Jordan XI Jubilee Sneakers" that were, at the time, exclusively available from BSTN Premium Sportswear.

What you see here is the result of this partnership, and it’s actually pretty damn awesome. It seems the best way to pay homage to one of the most iconic basketball sneakers of all time was to throw loads of money and carbon fibre at a ride-on lawnmower. I mean what better way to pay homage to a sports sneaker than to create a bespoke lawnmower? Well, we can think of many better ways, but then the world would be shy of this awesome 1 of 1 grass killer.

What many don’t know is that the designer of the first Air Jordan, Tinker Hatfield, was in some weird way inspired by a ride-on lawnmower when he developed the legendary design of the first Air Jordan XI. Thanks to some ridiculously cool golf carts make for the world’s elite, the BSTN GT XI sorta makes some sense. The lawnmower features custom carbon body parts, a leather-carbon seat, leather-carbon steering wheel along with selectively distributed Jumpman, BSTN and Mansory logos that correspond with the Jordan Brand logos and lettering found on the heel and eyelets of the anniversary edition of the shoes.

Take a look at the YouTube video that sort of explains why this 1 of 1 grass cutting device was created: MANSORY X BSTN GT XI | Mansory
