NISSAN SKYLINE GTR 400R - RESTORATION
Take a look at this in-depth restoration of a rare collector's item, the Nissan Skyline GTR 400R Nismo.
The Nissan Skyline GTR 400R is one of the most exclusive GTR's in the R33 editions. The 400R was a special edition which was launched on the 3rd of November 1997 and the idea was to launch a racing version of the already highly respected Skyline GTR. The 400R's engine featured a far bigger 77.7 mm stroke crankshaft, forged 87 mm pistons which were almost a fill 10mm bigger than the standard GTR, upgraded rods, high lift camshafts, an upgraded oil system, far larger exhaust manifolds as well as bigger turbochargers with higher outputs.
Finding a Nissan Skyline GTR R33 400R in fairly good condition is almost impossible, however, every once in a while one pops up in Japan and bought over by an enthusiast somewhere in the world with the intention of restoring it to the best condition it could possibly be.
