NOVA EIGHT 360 DEGREE MOTION VR SIMULATOR

The Nova Eight 360 degree Motion virtual reality simulator is, without a doubt, one of the most realistic and innovative simulators in the world.

A startup tech company, based in New Zealand by the name of Eight 360, created a completely new take on the possibilities of virtual reality simulation and gaming. What they created is essentially a bubble that the user sits in which is customised internally based on which game you are playing. For racing simulators and games, you'll find a racing seat, harness, steering wheels, shifter and pedals, and for flight simulators, you'll find what resembles a cockpit.

The bubble moves around a full 360 degrees in any direction depending on what inputs the gamers apply within the simulator. And, what's interesting, is that motion sickness is non-existent because what the player is visually seeing is exactly what they are physically feeling as well.

Imagine how immersive your favourite racing game would be in this! Unfortunately, these particular units are too expensive for the commercial market, but Eight 360 has plans to manufacture smaller "balls of death", as the MD calls them, for the gaming market.
