PAUL WALKER'S STORY AND CAR CRASH VIDEO – THE REAL REASON WHY THEY CRASHED
On November 30th, 2013, international movie star and car enthusiast, Paul Walker, was pronounced dead. He passed away alongside Roger Rodas after a devastating high-speed crash in a Porsche Carrara GT in Santa Clarita, California.
It's nothing new that Paul Walker was one of the biggest names in the Fast and Furious movie franchise, and was a passionate car collector and racing driver in his spare time. Aside from his passion for cars, Paul also started a relief organisation called Reach Out WorldWide, after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, to help communities recover.
A few years later, on November 30th, 2013, Paul Walker organised a charity event for the people who fell victim to Typhoon Haiyan. Shortly after the event, Paul Walker hopped in a Porsche Carrera GT, with his friend Roger Rodas at the wheel. It was said that the Porsche was seldom used and was taken to the charity event.
They started off on Atlas Vista Avenue and made a right turn into Constellation Road. They eventually turned right onto Kelly Johnson Parkway, where Roger Rodas exceeded the speed limit, pushing the car to an excess of 100mph – more than 55mph over the speed limit.
Roger Rodas slowly applied the brakes while making a gentle right-handed turn. At this point, the car lost control, hit a lamppost then a tree, which nearly sliced the car in two. Shortly after impact, the car burst into flames, killing both Roger Rodas and passenger Paul Walker.

What only surfaced relatively recently, was that, the day before the crash, there was a heavy downpour. Regardless of the hot Californian weather, there was still moisture on the road surface. Combined with a car that was barely used and tyres that were very dated, the car stood no chance for grip at higher speeds.
