SFX ARTISTS REACT TO HOLLYWOOD CAR MOVIES

What if special effects artists were to break down driving scenes from Hollywood movies? Well, wonder no more!

It is no secret that Hollywood movies involving intense car chases and races are not usually after realism. As long as it gets the message across, keeps the story moving forward while adding some true Hollywood flavour to it, then who cares? Well, in actual fact, a lot of people care!

A great example of this would be movies like Bullitt (1968) and The Fast And The Furious (2001), these movies were responsible for getting people into car culture. However, the problems come in when kids grow up and realise just how unrealistic these movies and scenes actually were, not necessarily from just a storyline point of view, but rather on the technical side!

Professional filmmakers and special effects studio, Corridor Crew, teamed up with automotive YouTuber, That Dude In Blue, to break down some of the most recognisable car scenes from Hollywood movies. Check out what they have to say in the video below.
