SO... YOU WANT A MAZDA RX-7?
Alex from Fitment Industries gives us the rundown of the Mazda RX-7, and why you want one. Or not.
The Mazda RX-7 is one of the most recognisable JDM cars ever created. They're also notoriously unreliable. That, though, means nothing to fans of the little Japanese sports car.
The RX-7, as you should know by now, left the factory with a Wankel Rotary engine under the bonnet. This means that they've got that distinctive triple-burble that is so cool. Yes, they leak oil and can overheat, but they are also happy to receive a massive turbo and go really fast.
Temperamental? Perhaps. Boring? Never! Not when they spit fire from their exhausts. They're also the car that people will do engine-swaps in to. Usually for something you'd likely find in the engine bay of a Toyota Supra, but we've seen one with a bit of American Muscle squeezed in there.
Ultimately, the Mazda RX-7 is a dream, the type of car that will bring you endless joy and hours of despair. In other words, it's the sports car that every petrolhead should own once in their life.
