TAKING A DEATH-WISH TRIP IN A RAT-ROD JEEP

What do you do when you have a rat rod Jeep of questionable quality gathering dust under a tarp? Well, if you have a death-wish, you take a road trip into the desert, of course.

We've all heard our mothers say, "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye," right, and then carried on doing whatever stupid thing we were busy with anyway. That is pretty much the premise for this video by Roadkill, and it makes for entertaining watching!

In fact, host David Freiburger said "it's probably the most stupid thing" that he and his compadre, Mike Finnegan, have ever done. But let's back up a bit and find out why.

Freiburger, an avid 4x4 enthusiast, was looking to take a Jeep trip to some faraway destination. Finnegan decided to help out and bought a Willys Flatfender but, in true Roadkill tradition, it was not exactly stock. This Jeep had been turned into a "two-wheel-drive rat rod using some very sketchy fabrication."

A quick once-over revealed the extent of the nightmare they were about to try and fix. As was the destination, the Desert Bar in Parker, Arizona that you can only get to by dirt road.

What transpires is a death-wish road trip of maintenance, jokes and a spine-crushing journey to ultimately sell it for the price of their bar tab. Fun!
