TESLA LAUNCHING FULL SELF-DRIVING SUBSCRIPTION

Tesla is changing the way people can pay for the full self-driving autopilot feature with a subscription option.

One of the most appealing features of a Tesla is its ability to drive by itself, although the feature only works partially at the moment and only in specific countries. What most people don't know is that Tesla self-driving, also known as Tesla autopilot, is an incredibly expensive optional extra at around $8,000. But Tesla's themselves are already quite expensive, and adding these prices together can potentially make competitor car manufacturers seem like a more viable option to some.

Tesla is now changing the way people can pay for the self drivng autopilot system by offering a monthly subscription service as an alternative. The Tesla self-driving autopilot subscription is expected to be no less than $100 per month, which is not exactly cheap, but far more reasonable than a once-off exorbitant amount.

Tesla has also realised that they have to release the full autopilot system relatively soon if they want to remain the leader in the electric car market.
