THE ALL-NEW MCLAREN W1 DROPS THE MIC ON ALL OTHER HYPERCARS.

Introducing the McLaren W1 – the ultimate expression of a real supercar, designed with McLaren’s unrelenting focus on delivering best-in-class performance. Built around core principles that define every McLaren: massive power, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and lightweight chassis technology, the W1 delivers unparalleled driving thrills with a pure connection between driver and machine. Whether you're pushing it on the track or cruising on the road, the W1 brings a perfect blend of jaw-dropping power, handling, and sheer presence. “The McLaren W1 embodies the brilliance of the iconic F1 and P1TM while pushing our boundaries even further,” says McLaren CEO, Michael Leiters. “With its all-new hybrid powertrain and the MHP-8 V8 engine, it's the fastest, most exhilarating road car we’ve ever built. Combining Formula 1-inspired aerodynamics, rear-wheel drive, and McLaren’s signature hydraulic steering, the W1 delivers a driving experience that no other brand could replicate. It’s raw, thrilling, and uniquely McLaren.” At its heart, the W1 features an all-new High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) powertrain, blending McLaren’s MHP-8 V8 combustion engine with an advanced E-module. The 683 kW from the V8 and 255 kW from the electric motor combine for an insane 938 kW total output, all sent to the rear wheels through an E-differential and 8-speed transmission. The result? A staggering 670 kW/tonne power-to-weight ratio, makes this the most powerful road-legal McLaren ever built.

With 1340 Nm of torque and immediate response from the E-module, the W1 rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, hits 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and blasts through 300 km/h in under 12.7 seconds. Rear wheel drive might seem like a bold choice in a world where many competitors rely on AWD, but McLaren’s precision-engineered suspension and groundbreaking aerodynamics ensure every ounce of power is perfectly managed. McLaren has harnessed the lessons learned in Formula 1 to shape the W1’s suspension and aero setup. The car’s active aero features and unique underfloor design create ground-effect aerodynamics that keep the car glued to the road, delivering optimal grip and handling without the need for AWD. The suspension uses advanced materials like 3D-printed uprights and wishbones, titanium torsion bars, and active heave elements at the front, while the rear suspension includes a Z-bar with active drop links. This system ensures the W1 handles with razor-sharp precision while maintaining the hydraulic steering feedback McLaren is famous for. Stopping this beast requires serious hardware. The W1 is fitted with McLaren’s Carbon Ceramic Racing+ (MCCR+) brakes, featuring 390mm discs with an added ceramic layer for durability and enhanced friction. The car will come to a stop from 100 km/h in just 29 metres, and from 200 km/h in 100 metres. Six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers at the rear make sure you’ve got all the stopping power you need, whether you’re on the road or track. “The McLaren W1 is a triumph of design and aerodynamics working in harmony,” says Alex Alexiev, McLaren’s Principal Designer. “From day one, we focused on creating a car that not only meets aerodynamic and performance goals but also looks incredible while remaining functional for everyday driving. The result is a supercar that’s extreme yet entirely usable.”
