MCLAREN 540C VS MERCEDES MCLAREN SLR DRAG RACE - OLD VS NEW!

Its been nearly 2 decades since the world was introduced to the Mercedes McLaren SLR in 2003 that marked as the pinnacle of supercar technology and was labelled as the worlds most powerful convertible with its 5.4L (5,439cc) supercharged M155 SLR V8 engine that produced 460 kW (626 PS - 617 hp) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque and has a 5-speed automatic gearbox.

Fast forward a couple of years and we get the McLaren 540C which isn't necessarily McLaren's flagship model, but it would be interesting to see how far the technology has come in nearly 15 years!

The Mclaren 540C is powered by a far smaller displacement engine, that of a 3.8L V8 turbocharged engine that makes 533 HP at 7,500 RPM and 398 lb-ft of torque.
