THE FERRARI 12CILINDRI TAILOR MADE - KOREA MEETS MARANELLO IN A MASTERPIECE OF ART AND ENGINEERING

Ferrari has lifted the curtain on the 12Cilindri Tailor Made, a one-of-a-kind celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and cultural collaboration. Designed exclusively for the South Korean market, this Ferrari is a rolling canvas, translating centuries of tradition, contemporary art, and cutting-edge automotive design into a singular V12 masterpiece. The creation spans three continents: Asia, with four rising South Korean artists bringing the pulse of their heritage; Europe, with Ferrari’s Styling Centre orchestrating design and engineering; and North America, with COOL HUNTING, guiding the vision to fuse culture, technology, and artistry. Over two years of meticulous work, the project transformed the energy of Seoul - from the shimmer of K-pop neon to the subtle shades of Celadon ceramics - into a car that’s part sculpture, part hypercar.

At first glance, the transitional Yoonseul paint stops you in your tracks. Named after the Korean word for sunlight sparkling on water, it shimmers green to violet with blue highlights, reflecting both Seoul’s electric energy and the subtle elegance of traditional ceramics. Every angle shifts as light hits, making the 12Cilindri feel alive - almost as if the city itself is riding shotgun. The interior is a gallery on wheels. Dahye Jeong, winner of the 2022 Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, has handwoven Mongolian horsehair into the dashboard and created intricate 3D textile patterns for the seats, floor, and soft surfaces. Light passes through the glass roof to cast these patterns as dancing shadows - a Ferrari first.

Hyunhee Kim brings a surreal, translucent touch. From the Scuderia Ferrari shields to the wheel caps, long F nameplate, and Prancing Horse, her acrylic interpretations of traditional Korean forms give the car an ethereal quality. Even the centre tunnel features her signature translucence, paired with a calligraphy dedication plate - a marriage of craft and motion. TaeHyun Lee injects a crisp modernity with lacquered surfaces and reflective white accents, inspiring white brake callipers and shift paddles - a first for a factory Ferrari. Meanwhile, GRAYCODE and jiiiiin, a South Korean duo known for translating sound into visual art, turned the V12’s roar into a visual motif, layered seamlessly across the Yoonseul livery. Every rev, every growl, is now part of the car’s artwork - a kinetic celebration of Ferrari’s sonic signature.

Every detail, from a custom luggage case to a Ferrari key in Kim’s signature visual language, is a touchpoint for the owner to interact with the car as both art object and hypercar. It’s a living collaboration of Seoul’s culture and Maranello’s engineering.
