THE GUY WHO BOUGHT PARIS HILTON'S MCLAREN SLR

This guy couldn't let this iconic McLaren SLR slip away. Not because of what the car is, but because of its red carpet history. This is the most famous McLaren SLR of all time, the one that used to be owned by Paris Hilton.

Car collector, Ed Bolian, explained that he had always been keeping an eye out for a McLaren SLR, as they are one of the most exclusive supercars on the roads today. That's not necessarily because of specification and power, as modern-day supercars are quite frankly far more comfortable, reliable and available. But, the McLaren SLR was the first "modern" supercar that proved to the world that supercars can, in fact, be driven daily and can be tame when needed, unlike others such as the McLaren F1, Lamborghini Diablo or even the Lamborghini Merciago.

As Ed Bolian browsed online for some rare automotive gems, he stumbled on a neat McLaren SLR and was quite taken back with its excessively expensive price tag. But, as he read further, he realised that the dark metallic 2006 McLaren SLR he was looking at was previously owned by Paris Hilton. Although he didn't really want to pay the asking price for it, he realised it's value and placed a winning bid.
