THE PININFARINA BATTISTA TARGAMERICA IS A 1,900 HP - 2,340 NM COACHBUILT HYPERCAR!

Automobili Pininfarina has just dropped the covers – and the roof – on something truly extraordinary: the Battista Targamerica. This isn’t just any hypercar; it’s the world’s first coach-built electric hypercar, meticulously crafted and delivered to a discerning client who knows what real exclusivity looks like. The Battista Targamerica is set to make its grand debut at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering during Monterey Car Week, the ultimate playground for automotive royalty. This piece of rolling art embodies Pininfarina's ethos of 'Dream Cars, Made Real' like no other. Commissioned by a car collector of serious repute (and an existing Battista owner), this creation is more than just a car - it's a statement. The design team at Automobili Pininfarina worked hand-in-hand with the client, crafting a suite of personalized touches that make this hypercar a one-off marvel, both in design and engineering. Built by the artisans in Cambiano, in collaboration with the legendary Pininfarina SpA, the Battista Targamerica is a pure expression of its owner’s personality. It reflects their individuality, passions, and unique life story, making it much more than just a car—it’s a piece of their legacy. After its star turn at Monterey, this masterpiece will join one of the world’s most exclusive collections, rubbing shoulders with other icons of automotive greatness. Draped in a striking silver and blue colour scheme, the Battista Targamerica has been re-engineered to suit its roofless design, offering a unique, wind-in-your-hair driving experience. The car incorporates elements of Automobili Pininfarina’s award-winning PURA design philosophy, a forward-thinking vision of timeless luxury. Just like every Battista, this one-off is a hand-crafted masterpiece, as unique as the client who commissioned it. Paolo Dellachà, Chief Executive Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, summed it up perfectly: “This is a seminal moment, delivering our first coach-built one-off vehicle to a client. Battista Targamerica, like no other vehicle before, demonstrates the infinite possibilities our highly skilled team can design and engineer. Our world-class artisans have delivered something truly special – the first electric open-top hypercar designed specifically to a very exacting client’s own specification.”

Inspired by the legendary 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider, built by Pininfarina for Fiat’s Gianni Agnelli, the Battista Targamerica pays homage to simplicity and elegance. Its stunning silver finish with blue and black accents, and those iconic horizontal lines on the rear luggage area, are clear nods to the Testarossa Spider. The car was commissioned during the 2023 Monterey Car Week, and from concept to delivery, it took a full year—a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship at Cambiano. This hypercar is loaded with personal touches, each one telling a story about its owner. Take, for example, the custom cigar holder and humidor, a luxurious detail built right into the cabin between the two seats. This bespoke aluminium and glass case isn’t just for show; it’s back-lit to match the colours of the five driving modes: Calma (Green), Pura (Iconica Blu), Energica (Orange), Furiosa (Red), and Carattere (Yellow). This is luxury tech at its finest, seamlessly blending function with flair. Even the name, Battista Targamerica, was a collaborative effort between the client and the design team, symbolizing its roofless style and the country it now calls home. Reflecting its rarity, the Battista Targamerica’s exterior is finished in a flawless Argento Liquido Gloss, with Iconica Blu Gloss accents running along the bodyside and aero wings in front of the rear wheels. The rear underwing is a work of art, with Iconica Blu pinstripes hand-painted across its full width, showcasing the attention to detail that defines Automobili Pininfarina. Completing the look is custom, ceramic-polished five-spoke alloy rims with contrasting black anodised aluminium centre caps. Inside, the car is upholstered in rich tan leather, with a black leather steering wheel and dashboard. The headrests feature an embossed Automobili Pininfarina ‘F’ logo, and the interior is dotted with bespoke décor and design details specific to the owner. he Battista. With four independent electric motors and a 120kWh lithium-ion battery, it pumps out a staggering 1,900hp and 2,340Nm of torque. That means 0-100 km/h in under two seconds and a top speed north of 300 km/h.

Take a look at the YouTube video that shows off pretty much everything you see here. This is one rather tasty hypercar, and you just know that coachbuilding it into a one-off model must cost as much as a small country's national debt: Automobili Pininfarina Battista Targamerica Hypercar | DPCcars
