THE RANGE-TOPPING LAMBORGHINI REVUELTO IN OPERA UNICA GUISE FEATURES A 475-HOUR PAINT JOB.

When Lamborghini decides to do something special, they don’t just slap on a unique paint job and call it a day. No, when they want to flex their creative muscles, they go all-in, redefining what it means to own an exclusive piece of automotive art. Enter the Revuelto Opera Unica, a one-off masterpiece crafted by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department in collaboration with Lamborghini Centro Stile. This isn't just another hypercar; it's a tribute to the mesmerizing blues and seascapes of Sardinia, an Italian island that's about as close to paradise as you can get. The unveiling of this custom Revuelto wasn’t a low-key affair, either. Lamborghini chose Cala di Volpe, a luxury resort that's a magnet for the rich and famous, as the backdrop. The place was draped in blue tones to match the car, setting the stage for an evening of opulence and exclusivity. If you were lucky enough to be there, you weren’t just seeing a car; you were witnessing the birth of a rolling piece of art. Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini’s Chairman and CEO, summed it up: “A unique Lamborghini Opera Unica car celebrates the innovation, creativity, and inherent art found within our super sports cars, which is at the heart of our brand.” The Ad Personam program has always been about pushing the envelope, allowing Lamborghini’s elite clientele to tailor their cars to their wildest dreams. But the Opera Unica takes this a step further, showcasing paint techniques and interior finishes reserved for only the most exclusive of one-offs. This isn't just personalization; it’s personalization on steroids. Creating this automotive art wasn’t a quick process. The paint alone took an extra 475 hours of craftsmanship in a multi-step process involving two-tone and three-tone fades, hand-brushed effects, and specialised coatings that make the car shimmer like the Mediterranean Sea that served as inspiration for the project. Inside, the attention to detail is just as obsessive. The embroidery alone required 85 hours to develop a tool that could create a watery stitching effect, echoing the theme of the Sardinian seascape. The cabin is a harmonious blend of Blu Delphinus and Blu Amon, with contrasting Bianco Leda stitching that ties the whole look together. Lamborghini didn’t just make a car’s interior; they crafted a sensory experience, where every touch, every glance, is a reminder of the car’s unique story.

The Revuelto is no slouch in the performance department as you may know. The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV with an output of 607 kW with 725 Nm of torque from a brand-new combustion engine paired with three electric motors, this setup rockets the Revuelto from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and gives it a top speed north of 350 km/h. The exterior is where the magic really happens. Lamborghini used three distinct shades of blue to create a visual masterpiece that’s as deep and complex as the sea itself. Blu Tawaret serves as the base colour, a soft, calming hue that sets the stage. Blu Cepheus adds a brighter, more vibrant touch, especially around the rear panels, creating a fading effect that mimics the way sunlight dances on water. Then there’s Blu Okeanos, a dark blue that brings depth and contrast, especially on the bonnet and around the front splitter. The whole thing is set off by a black Nera Bocca paint, shiny carbon splitter, and sill, with Shiny Black and Diamond Polished Altanero rims that make the car look like it’s gliding on air. The interior is a continuation of the oceanic theme where Blu Delphinus dominates the upholstery. Lighter Blu Amon accents on the seatbacks and doors add contrast, while the Bianco Leda stitching ties it all together. Lamborghini even developed a special tool to create a three-tone stitching effect. The engine bay was left fully exposed, showcasing the 6.5-litre, hybrid V12 in all its glory. This isn’t just an engine; it’s a work of art. The “Hot V” configuration, where the exhaust and intake positions are swapped, allows for better packaging and heat extraction, not to mention it looks absolutely insane. The 12-into-1 exhaust headers are a highlight, a work of art.
